There are applications when huge amount of documents have to be processed. One such application is electronic signature, when many documents need to be signed. Utility invoices are examples. Another use case is to generate personalized printed papers (e.g.: contracts).

You have applicances that handle the task of generating contracts or putting the electronic signature on the documents, but when you have to handle millions of documents then it becomes a different story. None of the documents should be generated twice and none should be missed. The appliance should not be overloaded and when it is out of order the documents have to wait.

MTRACK handles these issues and was implemented in many utilities handling the most sensitive documents: invoices. Invoices are generated either from Oracle Financials (at one client) or SAP (at another) and are put into a flat directory in batches. MTRACK reads the files into JMS to store them securely and feeds them to electronic signature appliance.
